HTML, CSS & Accessibility
Test your knowledge of semantic HTML, the box model, layout, specificity, and web accessibility.
About this Assessment
This assessment evaluates the front-end fundamentals every web developer is expected to know: writing semantic, well-structured HTML, reasoning about the CSS box model, building layouts with Flexbox and Grid, resolving specificity and cascade conflicts, and shipping accessible interfaces. The questions mirror the kind asked in real screening interviews and on-the-job code reviews.
By working through it you will surface the gaps between "it looks right in the browser" and a correct mental model of how HTML and CSS actually behave. Use your results to find which areas — semantics, layout, specificity, or accessibility — deserve another pass before your next interview.
